Meet Chloe

Basket of yarn began with a little girl, a pair of knitting needles, and her nan’s gentle guidance. Chloe sat by her nan’s side at eight years old, learning to knit one stitch at a time. What started as a hobby quickly became a lifelong passion — a love for hand-crafting beautiful, meaningful pieces.

Before turning her passion for knitting into a business, Chloe focused on another great interest — working with children. After gaining her GCSEs, she studied Childcare at college, combining her love for creativity and nurturing others.

​

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Chloe’s passion for knitting was reignited. With more time at home, she picked up her needles again, creating several handmade items for family and friends. At that time, knitting was simply a hobby and a heartfelt way to comfort loved ones — each piece was made with care and given as a gift.

Encouraged by the joy her creations brought to others, Chloe decided to take the leap and turn her lifelong passion into what is now Basket of yarn — a small business built on tradition, creativity, and heart.

Alongside running her small business, she works full-time with children and is a proud full-time mum to her gorgeous little boy. Knitting remains her creative escape — a way to stay connected to her roots and share some joy with others through every stitch.

Looking ahead, Chloe dreams of opening her shop—a cosy, welcoming space where she can showcase her work in person and inspire others to discover the joy of knitting. She would love to share her skills, teach others how to create beautiful handmade pieces, and pass on the craft that has meant so much to her.
